FULL EFFECTIVENESS IN LASER TREATMENT FOR WOMEN WITH BREAST CANCER

LOGRAN EFICACIA PLENA EN EL TRATAMIENTO LÁSER PARA MUJERES CON CÁNCER DE MAMA QUE PADECEN ADEMÁS SEQUEDAD Y ATROFIA VAGINAL

Members of the International Center Cryosurgery, with Dr. Pedro Torrecillas Malaga, urologist and member of the European Academy of Sciences, Arts and Letters; took part in a prestigious international event.

The III Mediterranean Congress of Urinary Incontinence and Pelvic Floor addressed issues of great interest for development of these diseases and techniques that are being proposed to address them with the best specialists in the world. Perhaps less known and prevalent in the field of urology, these two diseases affect various sectors of the population, above all women of working age as men with prostate problems.

The most relevant conclusions were clinical studies and research presented on the outcome of the application of laser method in vaginal and gynecological surgeries. Specifically it demonstrated, through a double-blind study, this laser is fully effective in the treatment of vaginal dryness and atrophy in women with breast cancer.

These two pathologies are associated with breast tumors and excellent results are achieved in monitoring the tumor itself, and on removing atrophy and dryness, with this new method. Also they conducted presentations and workshops on urinary incontinence in women and female intimate surgery.

DOUBLE-BLIND STUDY

The double-blind describes an especially stringent way of conducting a scientific experiment, usually on human subjects, in an attempt to eliminate subjective bias on the part of both experimental subjects and researchers. In most cases, double-blind experiments are performed to achieve a higher level of scientific rigor.

In a double-blind experiment, neither the individuals nor the researchers know who belongs to the control group and the experimental group who. Only after registering (and in some cases, analyzed) all data, researchers know which individuals belong to each group.

During the execution of research, a group of patients are receiving treatment research, and other not; then analyze the differences and the consequences of each of the research.

GYNAECOLOGY LASER

Laser gynecology begins to take hold in Spain for his novel non-invasive and painless technique, thus overcoming the limitations of conventional surgical methods in this field. FotonaSmoth Laser treats vaginal atrophy, urinary incontinence, prolapse or vaginal expansion, warts, cysts and herpes, among other disorders of the female sexual organ.

Fotona was the first manufacturer to introduce the so-called ER: YAG wavelength specializing in gynecology. Both ER: YAG laser as the FotonaSmooth XS, intervention have adjustable cold to hot regimes allowing for higher accuracy, and the effects of bleeding and clotting controlled.

Its action is simple and effective, the emitted light beam heats the vaginal walls and stimulates the production of new collagen fibers. The end result is that the genital organ of the woman returns to its original structure, and the woman, from the first treatment, begins to regain a sense of well-being.
