CEREBRAL METASTASIS IN LUNG CANCER WITH SILIBININE REDUCES 70%

REDUCEN UN 70% LA METÁSTASIS CEREBRAL EN EL CÁNCER DE PULMÓN CON SILIBININA

Researchers at the Catalan Institute of Oncology (ICO) in Girona have been able to reduce brain metastasis in patients with lung cancer by more than 70% thanks to silibinin, a natural substance extracted from the borriquero thistle, sources at the Institute have reported.

ICO researchers have discovered that a natural substance, silibinin, has reduced brain metastasis in 70-85% of two patients with advanced lung cancer who had previously received chemotherapy and radiation therapy but did not experience any improvement.
With silibinin, on the other hand, it has improved their quality of life and reduced their brain injuries.
